This update focuses on making TasteParty feel more polished during every part of the tasting experience — from hosting and joining to the final reveal.
We’ve redesigned core screens, simplified the host experience, added a dramatic results countdown, and introduced easier ways to share feedback.
✨ A Complete Visual Refresh
The Host, Join, and Results pages have all been redesigned with a cleaner layout, improved typography, and more consistent styling throughout the app.
TasteParty has grown a lot over time, and parts of the interface were starting to feel a little stitched together. This refresh brings everything into a more cohesive visual system that feels modern, lightweight, and easier to navigate.
The result is a smoother experience that keeps the focus where it belongs: the tasting itself.
🎯 A Cleaner Host Experience
We simplified the host page by removing unnecessary elements like progress bars and the “Join as participant” button, while also repositioning the rating donut chart to better fit the hosting flow.
Hosting a tasting should feel effortless, especially when people are waiting on you. The updated layout reduces visual clutter and makes the important controls easier to find at a glance.
⏳ Results Reveal Countdown
Results now include a shared animated countdown before scores appear.
Instead of revealing results instantly, participants now see a dramatic 3... 2... 1... sequence before the final rankings are shown.
It’s a small touch, but it makes the reveal feel much more like an event — building anticipation and creating a better shared moment for everyone in the tasting.
💬 In-App Feedback Button
There’s now a dedicated Feedback button in the bottom navigation bar if your on mobile, or in the bottom right corner if you are on desktop.
You can quickly send feedback, report bugs, or suggest ideas without leaving the app or hunting down a contact link.
TasteParty improves fastest when we hear directly from the people using it, so we wanted to make that as frictionless as possible.
🖼️ Smarter Image Uploads
Uploading beverage photos is now much more forgiving.
Non-square images are automatically padded into a square canvas before entering the cropper, giving you full control over framing regardless of the original image dimensions.
That means fewer awkward crops and better-looking tasting cards without needing to edit photos beforehand.
